Washington – Last night, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) voted to pass H.R. 7776, the Water Resources Development Act of 2022, legislation that will authorize crucial investments in America’s ports, inland waterways, flood management systems, ecosystems, and other water resources infrastructure. WRDA 2022 will support our local economy and keep California competitive, while carrying out projects in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Now that WRDA has passed the House, the legislation must pass the Senate to ensure that WRDA 2022 is signed into law.

The City of Cotati passed a resolution requesting that Congressman Thompson introduce this bill to honor Art’s life and legacy.

Napa - House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force Chair Rep. St. Helena – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) presented a $1,840,000 check to Adventist Health St. Helena Hospital leaders and Napa County officials for the Napa County Deer Park and St. Helena Hospital water system. This project will improve water infrastructure and increase onsite water storage at Adventist Health St. Helena Hospital, which owns and operates water storage, treatment, and distribution facilities that provide potable water to approximately 660 St. Helena residents and to hospital buildings.

Washington – Today, Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) announced that California is set to receive $125,309,027 from the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that Thompson helped pass expanded this program so more working families can have their homes retrofitted. WAP home retrofitting includes installing insulation, updating heating and cooling systems, upgrading electrical appliances, and making other common-sense changes to help fireproof homes.
