“The voters have spoken. While half of our country is deeply disappointed — including myself and many community members in the Fourth District — the most important step now is that we start to pick up the pieces so we can continue to make the United States a better place to live.
“I remain committed to protecting the rights and livelihoods of the American people while also working with the President-elect and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle on issues where we can find common ground. I will continue to work to lower costs, improve community safety, fight climate change, and protect Americans’ fundamental rights and freedoms.”
