“For nearly 20 years, Mary Jane has been an integral member of both our Napa community and of my own team. Her leadership and dedication to progressive values is constant and unwavering and I am honored to have her as a friend,” said Thompson. “It’s only natural that we honor her today as Napa County’s Woman of the Year and laud her tireless fight to organize our community and build up the next generation of political leaders.”
This is the fifth annual Women of the Year Awards, started in honor of Women’s History Month. Each year, Thompson recognizes one woman from each of the counties in our district to be recognized for her service to our community.
