Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-05) released this statement urging those whose property was destroyed in the recent fires to submit “right-of-entry” forms to receive free debris removal services from the Army Corps of Engineers:
“Debris cleanup is the first and often an expensive hurdle for many people who return to a burned down home. Fortunately, the Army Corps of Engineers will be clearing properties free of charge for all those whose homes were destroyed in Sonoma, Lake, and Napa counties. However, you must fill out and submit ‘right-of-entry’ form to give the Corps permission to access your property. I’ve heard from many constituents who are wary to give their information on this form, but I urge all those who want their property cleared free of charge to submit the form.”
More information about the right-of-entry forms and the debris cleanup process can be found here.
For those with destroyed property in Napa County, right-of-entry forms must be submitted by 5PM TODAY, Thursday, November 9.
