Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-05) announced that the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) approved the outstanding requests from the State of California for Public Assistance disaster relief funding for communities struck by the fires in Sonoma, Napa, and Lake Counties.
“I’m glad FEMA has approved the remaining requests for Public Assistance disaster relief. These additional funds will help us begin to rebuild certain public infrastructure that were damaged or destroyed in the recent fires,” said Rep. Thompson. “I’ll continue to fight to ensure our community has all the resources needed to fully recover and rebuild.”
In October, FEMA approved Public Assistance Categories A and B which funded certain emergency work during the disaster. Today, FEMA approved Public Assistance Categories C, D, E, F, and G, all of which fund the repairing and rebuilding of various public infrastructure damaged or destroyed in the fires.
