Santa Rosa – On Thursday, April 25, Reps. Mike Thompson (CA-04) and Jared Huffman (CA-02) will hold a press conference addressing California’s growing property insurance crisis. As insurers increasingly pull out of disaster-prone housing markets, California homeowners and builders are left uninsured. The event will include an overview of new federal legislation designed to support homeowners in hardening their properties against wildfires and other risks, while making insurance more affordable and accessible to consumers. The conference will be livestreamed.
